The Powered By Morningstar logo is reserved for situations where we’re the sole, essential provider in a third party’s product or service, and our role isn’t already clear.
Requirements
The Powered By Morningstar logo is rarely used, and only in circumstances where Morningstar’s role as the sole data provider is so foundational to the product or service that it would be a different product without our contribution.
The use of the Powered By Morningstar logo is by agreement only, and both the initial usage and any new placements require sign-off from the Brand team. Once your use case is approved, the Brand team will provide a download of the logo.
The Powered By Morningstar logo is used in the following situations:
- Within a product, to establish Morningstar’s role while the product or service is in use
- When promoting the product or service to the market
- In end-user communications, when the other organization is directly engaging their customers
Don’t use the Powered By Morningstar logo in the following situations:
- If other third-party providers also play visible roles in delivering the product or service
- On any Morningstar-owned properties
- If the logo hasn’t been approved for your specific use case

Variants
The Powered By Morningstar logo follows the same guidelines for clear space, color usage, visual effects, and background treatments as all other Morningstar logos.
Neutral 0 White type on Morningstar Red fill is the most commonly used variant.

The Powered By Morningstar logo is typically applied to the footer of a web or printed page.
In products, the Powered By Morningstar logo can be placed at the bottom of the left navigation or in the footer.
Don’t remove any elements or modify the logo in any way.
Don’t pair the logo with a third-party logo or add any symbols that could imply an endorsement or relationship.
Don’t change the color of the logo. Use the art files as provided.
Copyright and Disclosure
Morningstar requires copyright or disclosure language any time our assets are used by other organizations in print or digital applications. An agreement should specify the required copyright or disclosure language.
